|Fr Christopher Jamison|
One of his first initiatives is that of Vocation Voices. This will be when young people, whether already seminarians for the Priesthood or enquirers to religious or those still discerning their vocation, speak in many of our churches in the Diocese on Good Shepherd Sunday, also known as Vocations Sunday, on the 15th May 2011.
The experience of the recent Papal Visit to the UK has shown the power of personal testimony and so the Vocation Voices will be a great witness to how God is calling young people to serve the mission of His Church.
In a recent letter to parish Priests Fr Christopher said:
“This coming year will see many opportunities for us all to promote the culture of vocation: preparing for World Youth Day, following up the 2010 Papal Visit and building on the recent increase in those joining seminaries and novitiates.”
We wish Fr Christopher well as Director for the National Office for Vocation and all young people who will be Vocation Voices in our diocese this Good Shepherd Sunday."
