Notre Dame Students Awarded Catenian Bursaries

Notre Dame students have been awarded Catenian bursaries to assist with fund-raising efforts for Albanian experience as they report below:
"Mr Blackmore - President of the Weybridge Circle of the Catenians was delighted to present Year 12 students Sarah Forbes, Francesca Edwards and Katherine Turner with bursaries towards their trip to Albania this July. Unfortunately, Sarah Forbes was unable to be present for the photo due to an A Level examination.

Notre Dame Senior School students have visited the Company of Mary Our Lady Rainbow School in Albania for the last eight years. The project is in accordance with the Mission Statement at Notre Dame School where students are encouraged to “lend a helping hand” and reach out to those in less fortunate circumstances, especially children.

Students are tasked with raising their own funds for flights, accommodation and teaching materials. Having written to the Catenian Association requesting support for this charitable work - three of the group of 14 have been granted a bursary to assist with their trip.

Other fund-raising activities have included baby-sitting, cake sales, face painting and a bric-a-brac stall at the School Summer Fete, as well as our very own Notre Dame nail bar!
