Crowborough Parish Centenary Celebrations

L-R: Fr Kevin, Anthony Connor, Bishop Richard Moth, Timothy Connor
Mark Wlaker from St Mary's, Crowborough reports:
As part of this year’s Centenary celebrations St.Mary’s Crowborough enjoyed a visit from Bishop Richard Moth, Bishop to the British Armed Forces, for Sunday Mass. At the same Mass we also welcomed Anthony Connor and his brother Timothy, grandsons of Edward Connor, who, with his brother Frank, built St.Mary’s a century ago.

The Mass was a wonderful celebration of past and present, not to mention future, with Bishop Richard challenging the congregation in his sermon to use our talents and resources to plan for the next 100 years of St.Mary’s as a parish! After mass the Parish room was filled to the gunnels with parishioners enjoying the first of what may be many centenary cakes, with parties, a concert, and picnic already planned for further celebrations through the course of our special year.
