Papal Nuncio's Visit to Arundel & Brighton Diocese

Archbishop Antonio Mennini, the Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain recently ended a two day visit to the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton.

During the visit he attended the Good Shepherd service at Worth Abbey where he was presented with a cheque for over £12,000 for Missio from the Catholic Schools of the Diocese.

The Nuncio then spent the afternoon with the clergy of the diocese and seminarians at St John's Seminary, Wonersh ending with a festive Mass of St John and meal in celebration.

The Nuncio stayed with Bishop Kieran Conry overnight before meeting with some of the religious of the diocese in Gossops Green, then moving on to meet diocesan staff in the Christian Education Centre in Crawley and then ending the day at Arundel Cathedral for the Carpet of Flowers and Corpus Christi Festival where he led the Blessed Sacrament procession through the town.

On leaving he thanked Bishop Kieran for a wonderful two days and left impressed by what he had seen and the many people he had met.
